What is Sprokbook?

Sprokbook is a film photography companion app for iPhone. It logs the time, location, and details of every exposure you take on film — so when your scans come back, you know exactly what each frame is.

How does exposure logging work?

After you take a photo on your film camera, tap "Capture" in the app. Sprokbook records the timestamp and GPS coordinates. You can also take a reference photo with your phone camera to help match frames to scans later.

Can I log exposures without opening the app?

Yes. You can set up a Shortcut that triggers from the Action button, Lock Screen, or your Apple Watch. It lets you pick a camera and log an exposure in one tap, without ever opening Sprokbook.

Does Sprokbook sync between devices?

Yes. All your data syncs automatically via iCloud. Start logging on your iPhone and see your data on any other device signed in with the same Apple Account.

What data can I export?

You can export everything — cameras, rolls, film stocks, timestamps, GPS coordinates, and frame numbers — as JSON or CSV. This is useful for spreadsheet analysis, scripting, or simply keeping a backup.

Does Sprokbook collect my data?

No. Sprokbook does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device and your private iCloud account. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual exposures, rolls, or cameras directly in the app. To remove all data, delete the app from your device. Since data is stored in your personal iCloud account, no data is retained on our end.

Is Sprokbook free?

Yes, Sprokbook is free to download and use.
